We were often told, that if we want to lose weight, that we don't have to be on a diet, that we can only eat more healthy and have five small meals in one day.
Well it's no longer like that. Latest studies have showed that it is more healthy now to eat only twice.
An expert from Prague said that the king of all meals is breakfast, and that you can eat a lot for your breakfast, and that if you do it, you will only need one more meal for that day, which is lunch of course.
This way you will get rid of the fat and prevent yourself to get diabetes, type 2.
This expert along with his colleagues preformed an experiment. They had two groups of people, and they gave them the same amount calories, the difference is that their meals were differently divided.
One group had six meals per day, and the other one only two. After twelve weeks ( that's how long this experiment lasted ) the group that had two meals, lost the weight and they reduced the sugar in their blood.
The ones who had only two meals were worried they will be hungry later, during the day, but that didn't happen, because they ate whatever they wanted, when they had those two meals - said Hana Kaheova, the member of the research team
On the other hand the ones who had six smaller meals were hungry after every dish - she added.
